INTERKULTURALIA. LET’S MEET!

The largest multicultural event in Krakow

27th October 2012

This year, for the first time, together with our international volunteers we organize INTERKULTURALIA - LET'S MEET.

The event is aiming to present the cultural diversity of Krakow. Foreigners who live and work in Krakow, would like to explain the impact of their presence and the influence of cultural exchange for the social, economic and cultural life. We will all have a chance to know each other better, reconsider our cultural stereotypes and above all enjoy a great intercultural event.

The entire festival is divided into two parts. The agenda for the day includes: cooking workshops, dance workshops, language classes and activities for children. So we invite both kids and adults to join us! And in the evening...LET’S MEET! – a Multi Culti Party from dusk till dawn with live concert of Teddy Jr., a multicultural band based in Cracow and later on a party till dawn so that nobody leaves without having danced to both Polish and foreign rhythms!

 Join us on Facebook!

Throughout the day:

AND IN THE EVENING…LET’S MEET! – a Multi Culti Party from dusk till dawn

venue: Kot Karola club, Rynek Główny 6

from 18.00 „Multicultural Fair” – photo exibition „Interkulturalni w Krakowie”, „cultural stands” from different parts of the world and a multicultural pub quiz!

Why is it good? There will be plenty of opportunity to meet everybody involved, to mingle, to learn and understand and perhaps even form new intercultural friendships. All of the volunteers behind this event will be there presenting their own countries, answering questions, explaining why we chose Cracow over a, perhaps, more illustrious metropolis and our experiences in this great city. Aiding us in conveying the (obvious!) reasoning of ours, there will be a photo exhibition of foreign or half foreign couples living in Krakow and a multicultural pubquiz.

from 21.30 live concert: Teddy Jr.

To really get the party going till dawn, there will also be music from a multicultural band based in Cracow and later on a party till dawn so that nobody leaves without having danced to both Polish and foreign rhythms!

Since spring 2009, Teddy Jr. has been touring throughout Holland, France, Germany and finally settled down in Poland Together with his Cracow-based band, they combine folk & grunge music performed on acoustic instruments such as the cello, mandolin, guitar, accordion and a suitcase.
