Dr Jakub Kościółek from our Association, currently staying at Tokyo Gakugei University as a visiting professor, gave a lecture yesterday for Japanese students attending a course devoted to supporting children with migration experience at school.
The lecture focused on child-centred, participatory and co-created projects implemented by Interkulturalni PL. Jakub discussed how children’s voices can be included in the design of educational, integration and social activities, and how schools can become spaces of real participation for young people.
The presentation also included our current project, ALPHABETICA. The project focuses on counteracting educational poverty through the use of art, culture and creative methods in education. Within the project, we explore how arts-based and participatory activities can support learning, well-being, integration and children’s sense of agency across different European countries.
