“Support from the beginning” (“Wsparcie na starcie”) is a new project run by INTERKULTURALNI PL. The project aims at building up a network of volunteers working as social and cultural assistants for foreigners arriving in Krakow.
Volunteers will be a part of a “Support from the beginning” team and their main responsibility will be helping and supporting foreigners arriving in Kraków in such fields as administration, accommodation, and social and cultural adaptation.
Project’s participants will be trained during integration meetings and cross-cultural workshops taking place from October 2013 onwards. The participants will:
-> enhance their cross-cultural knowledge,
-> improve their cross-cultural communication skills,
-> learn about discrimination and how to act against it,
-> gain knowledge about administration procedures, foreigners may follow to settle down in Poland.
More detailed information about participation in the project will be available on our website from September 2013.
The project is financed by Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of the Republic of Poland as a part of Social Initiative Fund Program (pol. Minister Pracy i Polityki Społecznej w ramach Programu Operacyjnego Fundusz Inicjatyw Obywatelskich) and realised in the partnership with the City Council of Kraków.
