On 18th and 19th of November a nationwide conference was held as part of the fourth installment of a recurring project led by the Faculty of Philosophy of the Jagiellonian University “Culture of Exclusions?” The present cycle was devoted to issues of migration, refugees and integration. The conference began with a panel with the participation of prof. Maria Flis, prof. Krystyna Slany, prof. Beata Kowalska, prof. Marcin Lubaś, prof. Michał Kowalski, and dr. Adam Bulandra, which addressed the important issue of the causes of exclusion of migrants, closing of societies to otherness and how effective integration could be introduced. After the panel, the expert lectures began, where Dr. Adam Bulandra gave a speech “The causes and mechanisms of exclusion of migrants as a negative predictor of integration. Migration movement as class problem”.
