On October 28th, 2016 the conference “Lower Silesia and migration” was held in Wroclaw. The conference was devoted to consideration of numerous, effective integration programs for foreigners settling in the region. The conference also brought together experts from other Polish regions, including Warsaw, Gdańsk, Poznań and Kraków. Kraków was represented by our speaker, who told participants how Association together with the Municipal Centre for Support of Social Initiatives has developed the program “Open Kraków” and led to its adoption by the City Council of Krakow. He also talked about further plans, concerning the February 2017 conference “Open Krakow” and the application to the Mayor to create multicultural center in the former Salt Warehouse at Podgórze. The conference was summed up by The Best Practices Atlas, attached bellow. The conference was organized as part of the National Platform for Cooperation in Integration and funded by the Swiss program of cooperation with the new EU members.
